Overview:
    The ENF-6E was originally designed by Achernar BattleMechs as a field upgrade for the 6M
    Enforcer. However, the replacement of the 6M's Ultra Autocannon left so much free tonnage
    that the engineers working on the project went past their original intentions and upgraded
    the Enforcer's speed as well. Because the resources, facilities, and technical expertise to
    replace a BattleMech's fusion engine are uncommon in line units, Achernar officials decided
    to sell the 6E as a separate design, instead of as an upgrade kit. Problems with the
    mounting of the PPC and extra heat sinks almost forced the project's cancellation, but were
    solved in early 3067 after engineers came across archived plans detailing similar
    modifications to the old 4R Enforcer.  Although solved, these problems kept the ENF-6E from
    making any notable contributions to the Civil War.

Capabilities:
    The ENF-6E replaces the 6M Enforcer's foreign built autocannon with an extended range
    particle cannon. Although this decreases damage potential, the gain in longevity was deemed
    worth the trade off. Sixteen double heat sinks permit the ENF-6E to move and fire its
    weapons without heat troubles, although pilots are cautioned to be careful when jumping.
    
    
    
    The spare tonnage from the autocannon goes into heat sinks and, most notable of the
    modifications, a more powerful fusion engine. The new engine gives the Enforcer a maximum
    speed of nearly 100 kilometers per hour, as well as a 180 meter jumping range. This increase
    in mobility is probably the 6E's greatest selling point. The last change is more noticed by
    pilots than planners; the 6E Enforcer replaces the 6M's ER small laser with a much more
    effective medium laser.

Deployment:
    Three ENF-6Es saw combat on New Avalon during the Civil War. While one was destroyed, the
    three 'Mechs accounted for eleven destroyed BattleMechs over the course of the fighting for
    New Avalon. Officers also credited the surprise of seeing Enforcers moving so quickly with
    the temporary retreat of a Loyalist company from Avalon City in the final day of fighting.
