Overview:
The Hussar II is an attempt by Newhart Industries (makers of the Hussar) to improve upon the
Hussar, in the hopes of creating a 'Mech that will sell. Famously under-armored, the Hussar
has always been loved for its strengths and hated for its weaknesses. The Hussar II is meant
to eliminate the Hussar's primary defect while maintaining or enhancing its strengths.
Capabilities:
The sole weapon of the Hussar II is an ER PPC, which gives an increase in range and
firepower over the Hussar's ER Large laser. A Guardian ECM Suite helps the Hussar II avoid
detection by more powerful enemies. Although slightly slower than the Hussar, the Hussar II
makes up for this by mounting jump jets. The most significant modification is armor: the
Hussar II carries armor. This permits it to survive enemy fire long enough to get away from
larger foes, or destroy smaller ones.
Deployment:
The Hussar II is nearing the end of its testing period and will soon enter production.

Not bad. It keeps with the speed and agility of the previous models, and beefs up the armor a bit. Im not sure that the jump jets are such a good idea. Its my experience that if you put jump jets on something, some fool is going to DFA with it. Im not sure thats such a good idea.
The PPC is a logical choice for this model, though its going to have problems is forced to jump and shoot at the same time.
Pretty good, middle of the road scout-sniper. I wouldnt use it to try and take down assault mechs, but as a light mech hunter-killer, this is going to do very well.

Positives: Faster, better armored Pack Hunter, with ECM. Fast, long range sniper, jump jets.
Minor negatives: Cost, one weapon.
Major negatives: XL engine, even full torso armor won't help with that.

Expensive one trick pony. Still its one trick is good while it lasts. The golden BB can end this mechs day faster than anything else.
Which means I'd probably never field it as its kind of fragile for my tastes.

Now this mech could be a deadly sniper very mobile with a hard hitting weapon the heavy armour plus ECM make it able to last a long time and the high speed and jump make it difficult to corner .Its only real fault is the lack of a back up weapon if it looses the PPC it is done.
