Overview:
The Green Locust is a Mech designed to be a multi-function Mech. Trainer, Raider, and
Sentry. Though expensive, the Mech has proven itself a valuable asset.

Well, both of these were lost in a very quick battle vs GBs. My unit won, but lost too many mechs. These things were great till they started getting hit... then (*Flushing sound*).

Pulses with a targeting computer combined with very high speed allow it to close at will for backshots or just for harrassment.
But, it has to get very close to do it's work- half of it's firepower has a max range of 3! Odd, since it has the heat sinks for 2 ER mediums- more damage than the SPL's and better accuracy at all but point-blank range. It also lacks hands for physical attacks (you don't want to miss a kick and fall down in this!) or for carrying loot during raids. And, like all 20-tonners, it can't absorb any real damage. Any large weapon will shred this on the first hit, and the Green Locust _has_ to come into short range to us it's hyper-accurate arsenal.

This Mech isn't multipurpose! No electronics for scouting (and too expensive to loose one (scouting and training can be dangerous)), short-ranged weapons and XL engine make it vulnerable. This in conjunction with lack of any clear purpose (that doesn't make it multi-role) makes it below average.

Fast... yes. Good hit ratio... yes. Survivability? nope. Fluff making sense? nope.
I love fast mechs, but this one just costs too much for the likely hood of it getting pasted if it ever sees combat. It is also WAY too expensive for a trainer.

Nahh, one, the fluff is far too streteched and second, the mech probably won't even be able to hold its own against training bots.
BUT, for a light mech, a TC tied to pulse lasers and high speed DO allow some degree of harrassment to slow enemies (which would be the only use for this design).
