Strange design. The engine makes it one of the most expensive things on the field, but it's still equipped with single heat sinks that prevent it from using more than three weapons at once (not to mention that these weapons are just medium lasers). Than there is the Hatchet. It's a useful tool, but there would be much better use for seven tons on this mech. There is no fluff and RAC wasn't available in 3050, so ...
Point for heavy armor. |

Bleh plenty of issues with this one.
1) Fluff. RACs arent invented until 3062 and i would seriously doubt that Davions are stupid enough to try a Berzerker like design.
2) This things screams, " i need DHS !" the mech runs like a sauna, no good.
3)Wheres the ranged weapons ? A PPC is insufficient. An ERPPC is still barely adequate.
4) It needs TSM to work well. This can be easily obtained. Get your mech to run, fire a ERPPC and 4 medium lasers and u have just hit 9 heat and that is with DHS.
5) TOo much RAC ammo, this mech is begging for an ammo explosion as well due to its single heatsinks or just getting its torso shot.
This is even worse than the Bezerker. |

This mech tries to be scary, but even a brand new player in a medium mech should be able to take this mech apart.
Well maybe thats an exageration but its still a sickening feeling looking at this design. I disagree on the amount of ammo, 25 rounds of ammo at max firing is a decent amount. Maybe a little over board but with the weapons selection here you need something to fire at range, and thats your gun.
Also the PPC isn't a good supporting weapon as it gets minimum ranged when the Hatchet gets into range. THe heat sinks are also questionable as well. Shoot the head designer figured out if it can be salvaged. |

What a waste of electrons. I like big hatchets, but you have to have something to back it up. This will be easy to kill. Just keep a few hexes away and pummel it into submission. Or else sick a few firestarters at it and over heat the pitiful 10 heat sinks. |

This generates nearly three times more heat than it can handle. Some 'Mechs are made to overheat; with single heat sinks, this one isn't. This one's no good at all ar range; a hatchet 'Mech usually needs some sort of long range weapon, in case it's kept out of hatchet range. The PPC is close, but doesn't quite cut it. I never thought I'd be able to say this, but there's too much RAC ammo here. Two RACs could make good use of that much ammo; with a single RAC, there'll still be loads left for someone to hit or, more lkely, for you to cook off. |
