I can't help myself but to give it almost the highest rating. Older mechs can be upgraded without the need to move them to the factory and it makes most good things about it better and doesn't add anything bad.
I'm not sure, but I think that C3 systems appeared in 3055 and larger streak SRMs in 3060. |

Your personal ride, eh? I like it. A lot.
The Panther has always been one of my favourite 'mechs in 3025. This upgrade to advanced lvl2 (the Streaks....) leaves the feel of the 'mech untouched. But it has just become a lot tougher, farther-reaching, accurate and harder-hitting.
I am glad you left the 'mech basically untouched. Mind you, I always thought that the heat sinks were an integral part of the engine (ie - heat sink change = engine change).... Nevertheless, very convincing! |

I'm giving this bad boy *****; very nice refit. It does what the panther always did well, provide excellent fire support at long range. The Panther doesn't really need a lot of speed; just make sure you put some heavies in front of it if you're facing off against some serious opposition. |

This refit while addressing the heat issues of the Panther still does not solve the lack of speed it has .The ER PPC does help by increasing the maximum range and the C3 is usefull but it is still to slow for a light and if it encounters a medium or heavy mech it is in trouble because it is too slow to escape and too small to hold up long and other lights can easily avoid it |

Its a solid refit. Doesn't really do much for or against the venerable panther. But its still a nice design to field to round out your forces.
A PPC on a light mech with lots of armour and heat sinks and standard engine. Is a recipe for a solid mech mech replacement. |
