Overview:
Replacing several of the weapons systems on the TDR-5S with a heavy autocannon developed
using the superior expertise of the Federated Armaments plant on New Avalon, this
hard-hitting Thunderbolt design is a favorite in the heavy lances of the 1st Federated Suns
Armored Cavalry. Hanse Davion personally approved of the design for deployment with the
elite Armored Cavalry Regiment.
Capabilities:
The TDR-5D is a specialized brawler with moderate intermediate long-range fighting
capability. Although ammunition for the autocannon is extremely limited, ten rounds is
sufficient to lay two or three 'mechs low if the pilot is judicious. The elite pilots
entrusted with the TDR-5D rarely miss.
(note, to create a TDR-5D, mount the multi-barreled RAC from the Centurion RAC miniature
onto the missile mount on the Thunderbolt's shoulder).
Deployment:
Presently, a single TDR-5D serves with the 1st Federated Suns Armored Cavalry. Two others
were built, but both suffered heavy damaged fighting Liao troops and were torn down for
scrap. The 'mech's current pilot, Tiberius Davion, is a heavily decorated distant relation
to the ruling branch of the Davion family, and is known for his fearlessness in battle. He
relys heavily on the intimidating appearance of the 'mech's heavy autocannon, which is often
mistaken for a Class 20 autocannon by opponents, and upon his devil's eye. His skill is
such that he has received numerous offers from various stables on Solaris 7, but he prefers
service with the Armored Cavalry.

Over sized Enforcer, this time with armor and stronger backup weapons. There are better mechs than this one, it can do it's job, but I cannot avoid comparing it to standard TDR and in my eyes it looses this fight.

This is an incredibly mean machine for its weight class and technology. While a bit short on the range side of the coin, it makes up for it with a brutal punch at emdium to short ranges... i can almost see a 3050 version with LB-10, Er LL and DHS... case too..

This Thunderbolt is nasty. Removing the missle systems and MG's for the AC/10 gives it a harder punch. It loses it's support ability but gains more use in frontal assault and skirmishing roles. Also I would pair this mech with two TDR-5S Thunderbolts and a CPLT-C1 Catapult. I think they would work wonders together in a lance for fire support, assaults, skirmishing, and hole punching. It also has a good career in duels. I love your fluff and I think it gives it a depth that makes it easy to imagine this mech in the mech bays with the rest of them.
On a side note what does the Centurion's RAC look like? I may draw this one out.
