Overview:
This 'Mech was designed by my brother, I did redistribute some equipment due to his poor
judgement. He has never designed a mech before and did it when I wasnt there (I had
BattleMech Designer 9.71 installed on my mom's comp and he made this Omni just for fun lol)
But anyways, I deicded to submit all 7 variants to this TRO just cause they aren't half bad.
Capabilities:
The Gaijin's alternate A configuration is an electronic warfare scouting unit. Carrying an
ECM to help hide it, and an active probe to detect enemies better it is ideally suited to
this. However it does suffer from a lack of offensive capabilities, and is thus often paired
with another Gaijin configred for combat, or perhaps they operate in a full lance of varied
configurations, ie. an EW scout, a Target Designator, an Infantry Killer, and a Light 'Mech
Hunter Killer.

Well, well well... After some time I got myself to re-evaluate some of my opinions. Gaijin A isn't just a good scout, as I've stated before. It's a great scout, but the problem with it is, that it can't do much else and packs the fragile XL engine. I must agree with Stinger about the TSM, but there is a better solution to this than those already suggested - the stealth armour, which is still within level 2 / tournament rules limits (the problem is elsewhere however. Due to 'Mechs omni nature the presence of ECM suite requirement is way too restricting).
Keep this thing moving unless you want to throw several million C-bills in the air.

Ok I am going against all of the negative comments and looking at this mech for what it is.
IT'S A FREAKING SCOUT NOT A MINI ASSULT, I have to admit I am really tired of seeing "oh well it sucks because it only has one weapon and cant fight at all."
Guess what THIS does the job of ELECTRONICS WARFARE and does it VERY VERY well I might add. Will it need to avoid battles. Yup and it should be anyway. Can it take down a assult? Yup With an 8-12-8 it should be able to take down an assult just like a 8-12 locust. But that is NOT its job.
But then I have a problem with the concept of using lights to hunt assults anyway. Looking at the modern military you wouldnt willingly send a GI into a tank fight and think that is and should be the norm.
Now granted I will agree that the TSM is a waste here I would replace it with either masc or null sig (but that would make it a lvl 3 mech), but othe3r than that small problem this mech is almost perfect for its INTENDED ROLL.

Expensive toy that doesn't work right. Reminds me of Sun Servers.
Desperately needs more weapons otherwise its a more expensive hussar that manages less in a lot of ways.

Woefully underarmed, it is however excellent at EW recon. TSM is a wasted cost here, but if I remember correctly when I found these mechs on my moms computer the TSM was a "Fixed" item.

Nice and mobile and well armoured too The TSM is a waste on rthis one though since the single ER Medium Laser does not give it enough heat unless you take some engine hits.
