Overview:
    Another interesting unit from the design boys at D&K Creation Studios, the Potemkin is their
    take on a juggernaut of a heavy mech. Using such staples like the venerable Thunderbolt and
    Axeman as the basis for the design outline, they are hoping to make it big  with this heavy
    mech.
    
    The most base outline of the Potemkin began with the idea that they wanted to make a heavy
    mech that was a threat in the close range while still holding a nominal threat at long
    ranges as it closed in, should it have to. As well as having heavy armor on top of what
    seems to have slowly become their design staple of Laser Anti-Missile Systems for an extra
    defensive boost.

Capabilities:
    To achieve the most survivability of the mech, it was decided to eschew the usual weight
    saving practice of a Light or Extra-Light fusion engine and stick with the standard kind. To
    help save the weight, however, it was decided to stick with the endo-steel construction for
    the chassis. Furthermore, thirteen and a half tons of standard armor provide the machine
    with an impressive amount of protection for a mech of its weight.
    
    To give the Potemkin the needed maneuverability required for it to get in range required for
    its main weapon payload, it is equipped with MASC, with the primary components of it located
    in the right torso as to compliment the Hatchet.
    
    For its main armament, it is split between the right arm mounted Hatchet, and the left arm
    mounted Heavy PPC. It was decided to split the two so that should the mech lose one arm or
    side torso it would still be able to fight competently, if not at range should the Left
    Torso be lost.
    
    To compliment these close in weapon systems, an MML-7 with a ton of both SRM and LRM
    ammunition was place in the left torso to allow the machine to both have an even more
    impressive up close punch as well as provide nominal long range and indirect fire
    capability. The ammunition bins are protected with CASE to provide extra pilot
    survivability.
    
    The Center Torso mounted Laser AMS is both seeming to become a company staple as well as to
    add further protection from missile attacks as it closes in.
    
    Mechwarriors piloting it should be warned that should they alpha strike, the mech will run
    dangerously hot as it is only equipped with twelve double heatsinks. It is advised to pick
    one's targets carefully when piloting the Potemkin.
