Unfortunately for this mech the SLDF era is gone, so the high tech electronics cannot be repaired and maintained. This mech is still one of the best scout mechs of it's era and it can be much better raider than 1E Locust thanks to the hand actuators. The only problem with this mech would be the spare parts, but otherwise it's almost too perfect.

A good recon and harrasser-mech.
It´s weapons are harder to take out then the Locust-1E´s.
The odd placement of the weapons is irritating but it works.

It's a Locust 1E. The weapons and armor are moved a bit, but the design is pretty much the same. However, what I find odd about the MCY-98 is the armor layout when compared to the LCT-1E. The Locust has all its weapons in its arms, but less arm armor than the Mercury. Want to make both Mechs better? Trade their armor totals. Oh, and stick with the Locust's focus on front torso armor. These things are fast enough that you *shouldn't* be getting hit from behind.
