Now the Crab got heavy long-ranged firepower that can be perfectly used with the C3i. But though the weaponry got a decent upgrade two flaws make it less desirable:
The XL makes it both expensive and easier to kill, and the excessive heat will make trouble as the heat dissipation system is too weak to allow for firing both ER-PPCs without heat.
Replace the PPCs with large ER laser, drop the ECM and a DHS and put in a standard engine and half a ton of armor. |

Poor, but with potential. Too much heat and not enough heat sinks. I think that the C3i burns tonnage that could go to making the 'Mech actually combat effective. If you want a pretty good 'Mech, and must have the C3i, drop the Guardian and the ER small for two double heat sinks. Then you'll actually be able to use those PPCs. Losing the small leaves it only with the ER med to backup the PPCs, but you won't miss it unless you're Aidan. |

C3i is the only thing making this refit viable. Otherwise its going to have too many issues just trying to balance its heat scale at range to ever be effective.
I'd stick with a different variant or a completely different mech if I could. |

This mech may be able to live outside a C3i net, but heat is going to be a problem with this design. The armor is fair, ad the speed will get you into trouble, and out of it. If youre lucky. |
