This mech was built to replace the aging Dervishes and does this quite well.
Faster than its parent and with roughly the same firepower at long range and up close and with 10 tons less in weight.
The LRM's do a good job if used in masses and the pulse lasers will defend it well. It can use its ECM to cover its support lance but the armor is rather thin (As used to be on most LRM supporters).
The XL makes it vulnerable and expensive though you can't get all that maneuverability without it!

If this 'mech has to use those medium pulse lasers for anything except for dispatching a seriously damaged opponent it's in big big trouble. An upgraded Phoenix Hawk would have a field day against this. |

Its a scout support unit. Kind of expensive but will serve its purpose well in just about every unit. The armour isn't heavy enough to let it last in a line or medium company though. So protect it.
I think its a bit above average in the 3050 time period for scout fire support. |

This mech would be more usefull if it had more armor on it. A quick fist would be to change over to FF armor. Failing that, drop one of the pulse lasers and add more armor. The LRM 10 and ECM mens that the mech will find a good home in just about any composition of lance, be it fire support or recon. The jump ability improves the mechs handling, especially in city terrain. |
