The XL is used here to carry not only a decent weaponload of lasers but also to carry an iNarc into battle. This Hermes II is tough enough to deliver some beacons and the launcher can even fire some quite strong explosive pods. The C3i can help the iNarc too! |

Sure its brutaly expensive but with 15 range on the iNarc your going to be with a veteran gunner golden. As you'll be able to tag and the 5 missile boats in your level 2 will proceed to destroy that machine.
Sure its only 7.5 tons of armour but when your going to sit at long/medium range for most weapons against most opponents you should be able to run up the modifiers.
Plus its a half decent weapons suite when you have to fight when your out of iPods to fire.
I like that line, going to have to use it next time I play a comstar unit. |

Hmmm, a C3i mech with an iNarc that fires iPods. (Bad pun, couldnt resist) This mech could be the best forward spotter for missile boats ever. The C3i lets it link up to alot of missile carriers, and the iNarc lets it designate targets from a (hopefully) safe distance. Could you immagine one of these spotting for a lance of C3i and iNarc-capable Archers? Next best thing to orbital bombardment. |
