Perfect heat for the runner.

The 3 main guns generate exactly 34 points of heat, so you can keep sniping at them from far. Armor is very thick when compared to older Zeus designs. Sure it is a little more vulnerable but the thick armor compensates.

The backup weapons are quite useful especially the pulses which rock against BA and the Zeus is fleet footed as ever, capable of keeping up with certain heavies.

Definitely an improvement over the -9S.
The light engine adds some (minor) vulnerability but on the other side frees up enough tonnage for some improvements.
The mech is now protected by almost full armor and the LRM-15 can develop its full capability now with the Artemis and the second ton of ammo! The now front mounted pulse laser and the additional ER laser are boosting its short range firepower too.

Slight improvement over the 9S, it allows excellent firepower at range without increasing a heat penalty. Just make sure you stay back because it operates best as a sniper.

Impressive. Lots of big guns, and nice thick armor to protect them. The ER weapons and LRMs give this mech an excelent ranged strike, making it a good sniper. The medium lasers mean that this mech is no slouch in knife-fights, either. A good mech to use in an attack-assault situation. Probably not the best thing to use for guerilla work, due to the LRMs. Still, this mech can fill quite a few roles in just about any situation.
