It would never succeed at its intended role. End of.
As a companion to something much more useful, I.E a Grasshopper, I could see them pairing up and shredding up the rear area's of any enemy force. But this thing really couldn't do it alone. |

Who the hell thought this mech up? I'm supposed to believe this pile of crap takes out command mechs? A commander's Battlemaster would flick this thing like a booger. In its intended role the Exterminator is a complete failure, and as far as a 5/8/5 mech there are far better designs out there. |

Despite the decrease of speed the Exterminator may serve in it's role of surgical strike tool. It should be able to engage (and destroy) 'Mechs of similar size thanks to the combination of good weapons for short range combat, relatively tough shell, and mobility, but still you must be careful. Heat sinks can't handle all the heat if you jump and fire all lasers. I would like to see another MG instead of the SL, but otherwise there isn't much to do. I would prefer this to Quickdraw, but I can imagine better chassis in the same role.
Still a good scout hunter and leader for medium lances, but availability of spare parts may be a problem. |

This 3025 "downgrade" reminds me of a Quickdraw:
Its better armored and has its weapons shooting to the front but it has only 11 HS to deal with all the heat expecially while jumping.
Small laser and MG seem to be superfluous here (like said before a heatsink and some armor would be more usefull ).
The EXT-4A would mean death to smaller Mechs but another heavy would outgun it with ease! |

This design survived the transition to level one technology pretty much intact. It would make a decent raider. |
