A highly versatile 'Mech with well know flaws. The amount of ammo doesn't have to hurt that much. If you save the ammo until you have a good chance to hit than you probably fire the last LRMs when you start to receive some heavy hits that may cause ammo explosion. The SRMs are good when you finally get to close range and you deal with already wounded foe. If you want to prevent heat buildup than engage the enemy in melee. Doing so will provide much needed relief to your heat sinks, because you'll have to stop using some of the short range weapons thanks to the criticized allocation. Again thin 'Mech suffers from CT mounted ammo that it can hardly get rid of in the middle of combat. I would rather install another MG to head instead of dropping the infantry shredders.
A good team mate and not completely lost in a duel.

A heavy armored multi-purpose-machine able to dish out respectable amounts of damage at all ranges.
But it has two real flaws:
Too few heatsinks and too little ammo.
First try to stay behind the front with as little movement as possible and pepper the enemy with LRM´s for max 8 turns and then close to shortrange. Be carefull with your lasers and SRM´s that tend to overtax your heatsinks easily.

Powerful for a short while, with its LRMs, then powerful for an equally short while in close with its SRMs.
This mech suffers from being a jack of all trades heavy battlemech. Which is exactly the reason to take it most days. Although ripping out the machine guns, for Heatsinks and/or ammo. Would probably be a smart move.
This mech is noted for running hot so keep a care you don't roast yourself by accident with your ammo.

HEavy firepower all over, thick armour. About the only falw is the somewhat low heat capacity and lack of ammunition.
Otherwise, a definite bonus to any heavy lance. As long as it doesn't run out of ammo, the Crusader can brawl, perform fire support or act as a line mech.

Very good mech, lances of Crusaders are always fun, this mech makes a good all round trooper. The duel LRM15's and SRM6's are also a treat. Even the machine gun comes in handy sometimes!
