Description:
At the designer’s option, Combat Vehicles with a Tracked or Wheeled motive type may be built as Tractor or Trailer Units. These units must include a hitching mechanism into their frames. Hitches may be place in the front or rear locations (or even both) for both Tractor and Trailer units (Tractors with a hitch in front are effectively “push tractors”, while Tractors with a hitch in the back are more conventional “pullers”)

Game Rules:
The MPs of a combined Tractor/Trailer unit may vary during gameplay. The Cruise MP of a combined Tractor/Trailer unit is equal to the sum of the Engine Rating of the primary Tractor unit (the one doing all the towing/pushing) plus the lowest Suspension Factor of the combined units, then divided by the combined weight of the Tractor and its Trailer(s) (rounded down). The Flank MP is then computed normally by multiplying the Cruise MP by 1.5, and rounding up to the nearest whole number.

Combat Vehicle Specific Construction Rules
May be mounted on Inner Sphere units in accordance with the following construction rules:
 Not allowed if Hover, Naval (Displacement Hull), Naval (Hydrofoil), Naval (Submarine), VTOL, or WiGE is selected for the unit's Motive Type
 May mount up to two per unit
 May only be mounted in the Front, or Rear
 May mount up to one per location
