==Capabilities:==
The unique construction of The Hub makes it one of the most "livable" space
stations in the Inner Sphere. The inner sections of the station are what one
would expect: a vast network of corridors, rooms, and equipment neccissary for
the smooth operation of a station. It is the Gravity Decks that make The Hub
so unique: each deck is 21 meters tall and 35 meters wide.
Housing is rarely a problem on The Hub. Available lodging ranges from low-cost
flophouses and tenements to opulent multi-room, multi-story houses. Shops and
even warehouses can be found in various parts of the station, and at least one
park can be found among the various decks.
Security on the station is strict by neccessity. More than 4000 marines act as
both station defenders and local police, equipped with heavy military-grade
weaponry, and numerous armored vehicles. Most effective in keeping control of
the station are the two Stinger battlemechs stationed aboard, usually left to
guard the civilian governmental center on Grav Deck #7, although the marine's
turbolift system can delpoy them to any deck of the station.
The Hub has 20 docking collars for dropships, easily harboring the commercial
and military fleets that use the station as a waypoint. 8 of the docking ports
are designed for cargo dropships, allowing large freight to be moved quickly
on and off the station. The other 12 are standard ports, allowing personnel
and small equipment transfers only.
