*He was 6'1", 180 pounds, and in a perfect new uniform as he entered the bar and grill. The emblem of the Star League was prominently featured over his chest, next to his medal and Federated Suns patch. He moved to the bar, and sat at a bench. He took out a wallet and pulled out a few c-bills.*
"Bartender, I'll have a shot of rum. How much will it be?"

*Turns to face Bladewind*
"I wear the symbol of the Star League because I was with the SLDF when it eliminated Clan Smoke Jaguar. Everyone who participated wears it as a badge of honor. After which I joined the Davion Military because my father served with the Davions. Who have you served with?"

I'm use to be from the Comstar but excessive drinking binges plus a shooty mouth has led me to be expelled from the Order. Still i managed to get a cushy job in the FRR and continue protecting the same planet assigned under me when i was in Comstar.
Doesn't matter much anyway since i spend alot of time with the Dracs and the occasional lyran or davion that laze around here. Clans men are welcomed but when im drunk i shoot off witty insults about clanners thanks to Comstar's well done brain washing.
Oh well a toast to you anyway.
P.S. This is mainly a Dragon's tavern so i advise any Davion to be cautious. Its for your own good.

*snarls a little when he sees Davion sword, but than he stands up from his battered chair and shakes Alan's hand*
Maybe I don't like the Davions, but we are all soldiers after all, regardless of the house we serve. Welcome here.

"Yes, we are all soldiers here. I do not like the Kuritans, but I do show them the respect they deserve. This is a place of peace, let us not break it."

I don't want to be mistaken, nothing against soldiers, we all (or most of us) do our best to serve honorably, just some ruling families...
... I prefer talking to fighting if it isn't necessary (well maybe some peanuts fights), so enjoy your stay here.
*buys Alan some drink*

Sometimes the weapons make good arguments, sometimes not. Officers should be careful with politics. With rising military rank you gain political influence and if you don't want to end on unnecessary suicide mission, just because you lack proper friends. I should watch my mouth more often now.
OOC: just IC ranting no one will persecute you for saying thing if you behave your self.
*yawns*
Not much happening now, just some food battles.

what do you mean this is mainly a Dragon's tavern? Davions and Lyrans were some of the first people here, and in more numbers too, when Mordel's first opened. But now we have a good mix of people here, except for the lousey clanners. Though Lurch is exempt from that generalization. but don't get me wrong either, there are plenty of Mercs here too. So can we all just get along?

"I am not trying to initialize conflict, sir. I just come here for a quiet drink after my last tour of duty on the Kuritan Border. The Kuritans here don't scare me, and I may dislike them but I intend to show respect, sir."

Yeah, there has to be more 'Mercs here than from any one house... I'd count it out on the member's list, but I'm lazy.
