Overview:
The Hatchetmaniac is a 45 ton mixed tech that is based upon the Hatchetman. Clan Donka
designers significantly modified the design utilizing weight savings afforded by switching
primarily to Clan ferro-fibrous armor and Endo Steel structure. The HCT-XD retains the same
movement profile thanks to its Clan tech 180 XL fusion engine providing a top speed of 64.8
km/h and a jump range of 120 meters. The resulting mech has a slightly modified role
focusing on adding a second four ton hatchet.
Capabilities:
Central to the Hatetmaniac's long range weapons profile is its Clan LB 10-X autocannon fed
by two tons of ammunition. At medium range, the HCT-XD swaps its pulse lasers for ER Medium
Lasers which are also Clan based tech. While the loss of the accuracy afforded by pulse
laser technology, the Hatchetmaniac has a three ton targeting computer that is tied to both
the LB 10-X and ER Medium Lasers.
