Variants:
The GLT-3Rb was a late Star League model of the Guillotine designed and built specifically
for the Royal units of the SLDF. This BattleMech was the actual basis for the Clan
Guillotine IIC, and possesses a much stronger medium-long-range weapons battery in
comparison to the original GLT-3N Guillotine. Removing the left arm-mounted large laser to
the right arm, and adding a second heavy laser alongside to replace the paired medium lasers
that originally resided there gave that arm a battery that has 60% more bite at better than
half again the range. In place of the heavy laser in the left arm, a PPC was mounted to give
20% heavier firepower at 20% greater range. To deal with the increased heat from these
weapons, even with ten heat sinks being removed to provide available tonnage for these
weapons, the remaining 15 heat sinks were exchanged for double strength models. However,
even with 20% greater heat dissipation rates, the MechWarrior piloting this machine must use
careful weapon choice while in combat, especially at shorter ranges.
