Overview:
    Built to be a statement of strength and prestige for pilots of the Marian Hegemony the
    Praetorian would represent some of the best and worst traits of Marian Arms Inc. and by
    extension the Hegemony. Its development would be directly supported by many key members of
    the Senate some of whom may or may not have had a stake in the company. The development
    process would be dogged with controversy as the cost of the Battlemech would to balloon
    until direct intervention from the Caesar was required, resulting in a formal investigation
    and the replacement, arrest, or disappearance, of various figures from the state and
    company. Yet this would not kill the design or the popular support it had obtained from all
    levels of Marian Society. Although it would not arrive in time to stem the machinations of
    one Fontaine Brett Marik. It would be deployed shortly after, awarded to veteran pilots and
    notable lance commanders.

Capabilities:
    In true Marian Form the Praetorian PRN-1H would feature a... unique mix of technologies. It
    would mount an imported 300 rated Light Fusion Engine allowing it to hit an industry
    standard speed of 64 km/h. Its standard frame would be protected by 11.5 tons of
    ferro-fibrous armor (206 pips). Hardened spikes would be added to the torso providing a
    strong deterrence from melee engagement. Its armament would consist of 2 standard large
    lasers split between the arms. A LB-20X Would be crammed into its right torso, while an SRM
    4 would be mounted in it left torso. All 4 tons of ammo for these weapons would be protected
    by CASE within the left torso. Finally, and er-small laser would be mounted in the head. 13
    double heatsinks would be installed for cooling.
