LAM's represent a cross-over in mechwarriors and aerospace pilots. That's a cross-over that would seem to be rather frowned upon in the clan warrior caste. You are either a mech jock or an aero jock. It's inefficient and a waste of resources to train one warrior in both.

Waste of resources seems to be far from developing something that is considered dishonorable for more than one century among the clans (just like Null signature system).

I think that other clans would be happy to punish Jade Falcons for something (anything).

The clans are too rigid and inflexible to be able to see the value of being able to multitask if you can pilot both then there's nothing you can't pilot.

Well, technically, a LAM is dishonorable to clan mindset. I bid a LAM in mech mode for a duel or as part of a trial. I am fighting in it and suddenly I change to air-mech mode. The sudden change in my movement gives me an uunfair advantage. Such things are considered deceptive and as such, dishonorable.

Toads too? I'd like to see a clan aerospace pilot try to use a toad suit. You'd have to use 6 of them. 1 in each limb and 2 in the torso area. Also the reverse, an elemental in a clan aerospace fighter. Who can sing the Spam song with me?

Jade Falcons were developing stealth technology? I think that you should watch your mouth, because working on such a dishonorable piece of equipment can send you to bandit caste if you are lucky, or to death if you aren't. Your khans would be happy to find someone for exemplary punishment for harming the honor of the clan.

Actually, I don't think the Clan duel system would let you change modes. Saying you bid a LAM in Mech mode says that you are fighting with a Mech, nothing more. Now, if you sayed that you simple bid a LAM, then you could change all you want.
