How about these gems...
The Mechnificent Seven; A rousing adventure tale of seven solo mercenaries hired to protect a periphery planet from raiders.
Ronin; A caper film about unemployed mechwarriors taking covert action jobs to grab a McGuffin. Wild chase scenes and double crosses galore.
Fear and Loathing on Solaris; Bizarre drug-filled travelogue of two rebel mechwarriors going up against convention on the game planet.

My perfered one was Mech Raider, and it better have a damn busty heroin!
The funny thing is that I went back and read a little more about the movie, apparently it involves some late-teens going through a "coming of age" story, and the fist thing I thought of was Crossroads (that lame movie by Britney Spears). So "Mech Raider" is probably not far off, seeing as how adolescent coming-of-age movies are generally extremely stupid, shallow, and full of T&A.
My vote goes for Angelina Jolie or J.Lo, but if they're too old then they can probably find a part for Britney Spears in the film. Maybe the unit can be lead by Rebecca DeMornay or that actress from Eight Legged Freaks.

Acutally that would make an awsome movie... I still havn't seen band of brothers yet... maybe I should barrow it from my bro-in-law since he got it on DVD for christmas. (it was on my list too noOoOoOo my parents didn't buy it for me)
