Hey so I encountered an error code, for trying to place a lower arm actuator with a light PPC in a Omni mechs arm…..
Any one know what rule is being violated here? It says it cant have an arm or hand actuator with a light ppc.

Lower arm and hand actuators can’t be mounted in designs that have any kind of PPC, autocannon or Gauss rifle mounted in that arm.
This includes light PPC’s and AP or magshot Gauss rifles.

OmniMechs only...and that's only because of the graphics limitations of a failed video game.

My memory is fuzzy on the details after all these years, but the original 3050-era OmniMechs were intended for use in a video game, and the graphics limitations of the day meant that weapons like PPCs, autocannons, and gauss rifles couldn't be shown being held by hands. The rule was created for the board game, requiring OmniMechs to have the LAA/H replaced when using those weapons, to match the proposed video game. The game didn't get past the very early stages, but OmniMechs and the construction rules stayed.
