Overview:
The Lobster would come from the design factories of GM. Looking for a modern take on the
concept of the King Crab the engineers and lab techs of the company would deliver this
95-ton monstrosity for consideration by the board at the end of the Dark Age. Approved for
production the first factory line would end up being established on Outreach followed after
by El Dorado. This would be due to the ongoing crises with the Combine in the Realm of the
Federated Suns as well as the relative proximity of Outreach to Clan Sea-Fox for the
procurement of the Clan-Level technology needed for the design. Regardless the Lobster
LBR-100 would begin appearing on the Battlefields at some point during the Early IlClan era.
Capabilities:
The Lobster LBR-100 would mount a 285 standard fusion engine allowing the mech to hit top
speeds of around 54 km/h. An endo-composite structure would free up some additional tonnage
for the machine, and a heavy gyro would be installed to increase durability. Its armament
would include a Clan Ultra AC/20 (the Hammer Claw) supplied by 4 tons of ammo a RAC 5 (the
Ripper or Pincher Claw) supplied by 3 tons of ammo split between the arms and protected by
claw-like encasements. Ammo would be located in the respective side torso protected by CASE
II. Supplemental arms would include a Clan LRM 15 supported by 2 tons of ammo in the Right
torso and an LPPC. This would allow the Lobster to soften up targets a bit while closing
into range for its main arms. Lastly a clan er-small laser would be installed as well. 18
tons of standard plate would be provided for protection (288 pips) and 14 doulbe heat sinks
(28 sinking) for cooling.
