Overview:
A lightweight brawler manufactured by Skobel MechWorks for the Word of Blake, the Frateris
was first deployed in the Jihad as support units for more powerful 'Mechs such as heavier
members of the Celestial Series. It features experimental technology of the time. The design
would go extinct after the final defeat of the Blakists.
Capabilities:
The main weapon of the 55-ton Frateris is a Snub-Nose PPC, used to deliver increasing damage
as range closes. This is supplemented by an experimental Artemis IV FCS-equipped MML-9
launcher with four tons of experimental CASE II-protected ammunition, as well as a
Retractable Blade for if a melee brawl was entered. Its main edge, however, came from the
Improved C3 Computer installed in the head.
This loadout lent itself to line brawling, able to deal damage at long range but coming into
its own at closer ones.
As for the platform itself, a standard chassis was utilized to mount a 275-rated light
fusion engine and 7 tons of Light Ferro-Fibrous armor plating. Three Jump Jets gave it a
good leap range, while 10 double heat sinks were more than enough to handle cooling.
