Variants:
    The HMH-5H Hammerhands is a model refitted within the Hanseatic League, and was initially
    prototyped from the changes implemented in the family ‘Mech of family that fled the FedCom
    Civil War. Replacing the heat sinks with double strength units and the armor with
    ferro-fibrous plating freed up enough tonnage to increase armor thickness more than 10%,
    protect the munitions storage with CASE systems in both side torsos and both double missile
    storage and equip the launcher with an Artemis IV fire-control system.
    
    This would later form the basis for additional models seen in the Hanseatic League, and
    later, the Scorpion Empire. For instance, the MHM-6H used by the League replaced with
    standard medium lasers with extended-range models.

Question is what prompts you to post such a relativly minor change as its own seperate design?

The replacement of energy weapons with extended-range versions has been used in the past by official designs as grounds for a new model.

The next upgrade would be once the Hanseatic League was conquered by the Scorpions and be very similar to the two designs I had previously posted. I haven’t taken the time to figure out exactly what I want in that design though.

Its certainly a new model. But the question is why is the effort required to post it worth it? You could just as easily add a line in the variants section of the HMH-5H with "The HMH-6H upgrades the Medium lasers to ER Variants."

Ultimately, its just a case of differences in the way we do things, and I'm wondering why.
