Sorry, but I would take a Thunder Hawk, Pillager, Devastator or Nightstar over this.
The light Gauss rifle, as much as I would like to like it, does not offer enough weight and crit savings, nor enough extra range, to make me want to take so many of them ilo a pair or trio of standard Gauss rifles; maybe with extra medium to long range energy guns.

Yah, the LGauss was a tough weapon to make and balance. How to avoid stepping on the AC/10. The real issue is that the Standard Gauss is just to effective.

Maybe if it had the range band of a clan UAC/2 or Inner Sphere LB/2X (9/18/27), but with the 3 hex minimum (maybe even a 4 hex min).
Standard AC’s still have their alternate ammo types to make them effective. LB’s have their cluster rounds, and UAC’s can double tap.

| good point, light gauss rifle is a light to medium weigh mech weapon and I mean light mech weapons. (30t-45t)
