When I find an app to do this with, I'll let ya' know.
I am trascribing my terabad spreadsheet, where I have designed a 16-ton WiGE craft, capable of getting 6-tons of troops down from the high atmosphere, or even across the interface.
The Fluke, once down to the ground-scale hex, has a cruse of 11 (and thus a passenger-crushing flank of 17), which in-theory should give it's charges a defensive movement modifier, even when in the tight confines of city streets.
It has only 2.06 tons of laser-reflective armor (10 nose, 7 [flanks], 4 aft, 5 turret), augmented by a L-AMS; This has led to friction between flight-crews and mission planners, as "too close to leave again" verses "too far to prevent battlearmor fiteague" highlights the moral issues non-Mechwarriors can have with such assaults.
Code: | 16 tons 1.6
11-crusie
100 rating XL 2.25t
Cockpit & Controls 0.8t
Lift Equipment 1.6t

I've double-checked the price, and I derpped it: 770,217, with a 64% markup for being 16 tons, yealds a price of 1,263,156 C-bills. _________________ Goose

I feel dirty.
And the damn thing thinks a turret will always weigh a multiple of .5 tons. _________________ Goose

OR, I could double check on my spreadsheet, again, and if I ditch the guns and drop down to 1.5 tons of armor, I can make it move 15(!) using a 160XL, being my scout helo engine!
All for the low low price of 1,283,573.339 Space Buccs©

You can build the WiGE as hovercraft in Heavy Metal Vee and adjust as needed...odd how the majoirty of these things made better hovercraft. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

… Haxin' in a heavier engine still eats a item slot; I can get away with that not too often.
The price part, where you have a 100% mark-up at 25 tons, will forever remain annoying … _________________ Goose

I hold that as evidence Them Early Devs™ where sloppy.
Someone with moar cachet then my sorry behind can go map out what the optim speed/size combos (by engine type) actually are. _________________ Goose
