This mech makes me irrationally angry. So its probably doing its intended job. The iOS MRM's are of course a terrible idea that should be replaced by rocket launchers. But maybe thats the point, so what should be a flaw makes it unique instead. |

LBx with the Tcom is a choice. My current preferences would run towards an Ultra-10 instead. |

Shrieker SRKR-80A |
Rating: |

The Shrieker is the latest example of what the Black Shield Company does best. Fast and with excellent range and striking power, this mech is just waiting for a chance to give you dilemmas. It also showcases the Black Shield Company's growing technological expertise. One of the simpler possible upgrade paths involves unlocking XL gyros. With that additional heat sinks would allow the mech to fire both lasers without immediate debilitating effects. More probable are the XL engine upgrade paths. Odds say they'll go for more speed in keeping with their doctrinal preferences. |

BattleMech: |
Battlelord BTLD-65A |
Rating: |
5.00 |
Comment: |
The Battlelord is the completely expected medium trooper mech that every military employs eventually. This particular version is optimized towards close in brawling. Good electronics renders it resistent to more advanced targeting systems, and the Laser AMS does a good job mitigating damage from the kind of missile attacks the Black Shield Company tends to employ. They are over estimating the effectiveness of both systems. Bringing stockpiles of ARAD missiles could be in order should IPD engage in hostilities.
With this design, the Black Shield Company's strategy range is complete. Fire support tends to be relegated to a range of lighter units. Pinning units are relegated to their Medium units such as the Cavalier and Battlelord. Defensive line units are relegated to their heavy tanks and that Cerberon. They're well suited towards diffuse mobile forces intended to attrite their opponents. And they're woefully unprepared to stop a heavy assualt. Taking their cities would be easy. The hard part would be cleaning up the resistance. That emphasis on mobility, fusion engines, and energy weapons makes for a persistent and hard to pin down raiding force. |

Cerberon CRBN-55A |

The Black Shield Company would of done better starting up new and moderately updated production of a classic mech, like maybe a Rifleman then what they actually created. The multi-purpose nature of this design means it can dabble in a number of possible missions, and be unable to overcome resistance. Its greatest traits, command and electronic warfare, could be more affordably replicated in cheaper platforms. Overall, the assessment is that the Black Shield Company's focus on mobility oriented warfare failed to serve them when it came time to build a unit that should be able to hold the line. |

Well thats fun. Usual problem of a vehicle could do it better. Could also use a TAG to help with spotting for itself. And fluff. Should always have at least a bit of fluff explaining why. |

The ammo required for the LRM's to work seems a bit light.
Also that much Artimis is wasteful. You're better off using artemis on fewer larger launchers. |

It is the winner. Defensive value is floored, and a light machine gun is the cheapest way to introduce explosive commonents that affect the BV. |
