Comment: For it's period of creation & deployment... this is a great game. It has a lot of features and was highly creative for it's day. Still, a few quirks keep it from a perfect 5.

Comment: Once slowed down with moslow (a program that slows old DOS games down for play on modern PCs) the game was great. For Old School ;)

Comment: My favorite of the free editors for many reasons.
A) Has the highest tech rating
B) Easy to use and 99% accurate
C) Can export xml files of mechs that are readable by the MegaMek program...Pure Sweetness.

Comment: Just beat the game, and even being so old I liked it better than MechWarrior 2. Man what a game. I even managed to keep a chameleon when the kuritans attacked during the last training mission, that was kinda cool. Helped a lot having it's firepower the whole game. Also, just for the fun of it, I'm gonna get the urbanmech from the starport arena :D Now I need to download the crescent hawk's revenge as soon as I find the bookmark for it. *Wink Wink Mordel Upload It!*

Comment: This program is by far one of the best freeware editors there is. Despite its outdated time of creation, it has one nice feature allowing you to build a mech using any new equipment with this editor: Add Non Standard Equipment. This menu item allows you to add any piece of equipment you wish to a mech, assigning any stats you want. Yes this leads to custom equip that no one will let you ever use (1 ton 1 crit UAC50 :P) but it can also be used to add newer standard tech like Heavy Lasers and Rotary AC's. All in all this is a wonderful tool.

Comment: This program is great. It creates very very nice record sheets and is well worth using if you only need tech up to 3058 (3060 if willing to add the heavy lasers by hand, 3060 mechs included if you go to the homepage and download the files for all the mechs). I have a copy of BMD10 Beta, if you wish to try it download from www.geocities.com/mechsgr/progs/bmd10.zip Enjoy
