OK, so I created this topic for announcements and general discussion related to the Preseason game. I decided it might be best to split out the actual game posts from the various discussions and announcement that might go on.

I'll post each Move/Fire phase as new posts to the main game thread.

In case anyone is curious, the PDF files for each of your units in the main thread aren't pristine (a tad blurry, minor malformations, etc) because they're PDFs, converted to images, converted back to PDFs. Smile

I plan on using the image files to record damage, such as:
  • Color the armor pips in
  • Shade locations yellow/orange/red/black to give visual representations of how severely damaged the armor/structure is
  • Strike through criticals
  • Update remaining weapons/inventory
  • Indicate heat
  • Indicate pilot hits
  • Etc., etc.
Anyways, in order to do that, since I don't have anything that let me do that directly on the PDF, I had to use Inkscape to convert them to jpg files. I then use Paint Shop Prop to markup the images, and print to PDF using PrimoPDF. Once updated with any new information from firing/movement damage, I'll upload the revised sheets.

My only disappointment in you is that not all of the record sheets are printed from my site. Looks like only the bottom left one. But I'll let it slide...

My apologies on the prints, but the bulk print from MegaMek lab was just more convenient!

Do you have an option to add images to the RS via a link or something? I wanted to add images, but that wasn't convenient for either...

Both of these things are in the queue, somewhat. I have a plan for a force builder feature that will allow you to update G/P skills, add names, update ammo layouts, etc. As part of that, you'll be able to generate the PDF for multiple units at a single time. I'm guessing with the option of a single PDF or as individual PDFs, zipped.

There's also another enhancement to be able to add your own image to the PDF when you submit it. I can easily extend that to allow you to update the image during the generation of the PDF as well.

So, you're right, not yet. But I do have plans.

I actually had that but took it away because I figured folks would calculate it themselves. And I also didn't want folks to get confused and think it included terrain. I'll add it in now.
