Happens to me as well. Might be because of your permissions that your behavior is slightly different. It happens when editing a unit with Modular Armor. I'll raise a bug and fix it and release a patch in the next day or so.

Because you're not really editing his unit. You don't have permissions to edit units that you didn't create. That means when you click that link, you'll see what appears to be a brand new unit instead of editing the unit he indicated (with an id of 1375). As a matter of fact, I'm betting the URL also changes to www.mordel.net/tro.php?a=ccv.

You'll be able to re-create it if you go to create a new design and load his 'Rommel 3145-IPD' to start from.
