Nothing tricky about this one, just strong firepower at all ranges. Armor is good, jj's can make up for the slower movement (compared to other Clan heavies), and it has enough heat sinks for bracket fire or the occassional alpha strike.
This will do well in almost any situation against any opponent. |

A solid design, here. The armor is beefy enough to take quite a few shots from smaller weapons, or a direct hit from a Big Gun, and still keep working. Using the Laser Heat Sinks from Max Tech makes this an odd mech, but its not vital to do so.
The weapons remind me of the load out on the Nova Cat. Lots of big energy weapons. And suffers from the same weakness, it cant quite handle all the heat from them all at once.
Still, with the use of some fire discipline, youre going to hand out some serious whuppins without running too hot.
The UAC looks like it was intened as a 'cool down' weapon. Some thing that the mech can use in a pinch, should the pilot start to overheat the mech, and still be a viable threat.
This is a brawler, pure and simple. Build soley to pick a target, and beat it into submission, then move on. One or two of these in a battle or assault star will give you nice results. Using them in a defensive star will force your opponent to decide just how many of his units hes willing to loose to win the game. |

This is a very solid 'mech, which finally offers an Omnimech chassis without 5/8 speed. Speed in nice, but there are times when you just need more firepower...especially when you are Jade Falcon and your heavy 'mechs are dominated by the Hellbringer and Summoner. The Night Gyr makes a fine companion for either design. |
