I love this Mech! Ok, armor is far substandard, heatsinks are only half the number you need and your low-heat weapons only have 10 shots per barrel,..... But it looks great, has a irresistable punch (if you don´t mind the heat) and I´ve downed a Marauder -3R with it on one of my first games ever. So call me old-fashioned but I love it!

Not great, but it packs a lot of firepower. Heat dissipation and armor are not strong enough to keep it safe in a short range battle, but if it manges to annoy the enemy while hiding behind some brawlers then it can do a lot of damage. Unfortunately it's ammo supply is limited, so it can't snipe for long and once the ammo is gone you have to rely on lasers, which produce too much heat. I would sacrifice the medium lasers for ammo and armor.

There's only one thing going for the Rifleman. Honking loads of shells and lasers being spit in the enemy's face.
Armour's actually decent upfront but let someone get behind you and you might as well just eject.
On the otherhand, being able to flip the arms means that if anyone tries that, he'll get hit as bad as you'll be. Good time to Alpha Strike cause chances are you won't get another attempt.

Yet another design Davion forgot to armour its rear area.
Sometimes I wonder how Davion expects to hold turf fielding both the Shadow Hawk D and this 3N Rifleman.
It can be taken out if one is careful with a scout mech.
Personally when I'm piloting a heavy, I dislike having to pay more attention to locusts than to other Heavies.

With wepaons being redundant, armor being decent, and range being good the Rifleman can dish out some serious whupping. the AC/5s have little heat and this mech could easlily wade in firing both and a single LL. Also don't forget that the Rifleman has an AA targeting system, which is a good thing to have when enemy Areospace opposition is expected.
