Overview:
    The Duchess is a new design that is intended to hunt light and medium mechs. Originally
    dubbed the Aztec Warrior, it became apparent during testing that the test pilots became
    overly confident, to the point of extreme arrogance. That led the designers to come up with
    a new more appropriate name. The lead designer did a search "The most arrogant personalities
    in T.V. history", he turned up several dozen results, the most intriguing he found an entry
    for Sterling Mallory Archer AKA Duchess.
    
    And the rest they say is history.

Capabilities:
    Over all the Duchess is a lackluster design. Not really breaking new ground in any one area.
    It is considered slow for a 40 ton machine, but its full armor and regular engine kept the
    price down to a very reasonable amount. Originally intended to mount the same power plant as
    its spiritual inspiration the Clint. So a slower speed was deemed acceptable as long as the
    jump ability was kept at a maximum. Its weapons are simple and effective. A quartet of Light
    Particle Projection cannons are tied to a Targeting computer that is nearly on par with the
    original system originally found in the Clint. Double heat sinks will help keep the Duchess
    cool under pressure. But repeated firing of the cannons and jumping will cause the heat to
    spike.

Deployment:
    The Duchess is a limited run so far. It's ease of maintenance has made it popular with a few
    Mercenary units but overall the design has been met with little enthusiasm.
