Overview:
    ComStar designed the Raijin to refit depleted ComGuard units in the aftermath of Tukayyid.
    Not content to rely on the ComGuard's stockpile of Star League-era BattleMechs on Terra,
    Precentor Martial Focht wanted a new 'Mech whose technology would be unfamiliar to both the
    Inner Sphere and the Clans.
    
    Though popular it has had a few of its weaknesses exploited. Mostly the weak armor issue
    had to be taken care of. The third generation of the mech shows more promise.

Capabilities:
    The RJN101-B has seen a pretty extensive refit latley. Though the XL still remains most of
    the armament is now different, as well as a Endo steel internal structure. The ERPPC stayed
    the same but was moved to the right arm, this allows the mech to flip that weapon as well as
    the new Medium lasers to the rear. The Medium lasers replace the Pulse lasers that have
    proven to be less than effective. The original srm's were removed, both the streak and the
    standard. These were replaced with 2 streak srm 4's and 2 tons of ammunition. All of the
    remaning tonnage has gone to beefing up the armor. In fact the mech now has 100% armor
    coverage up 27% from its old coverage of 73%.
