Overview:
    Even during the Star League era, the number of manufacturers capable of building a 'Mech
    like the BLR-1G was limited. After they won the bid to construct the 'Mech, Hollis
    Industries began production of the BattleMaster in 2830. Designed to be the largest and the
    most powerful 'Mech  ever fielded by the Star League armies, the BLR-1G filled the bill.
    
    The 'Mech's sheer size required special manufacturing facilities, which meant that
    Hollis could build the BattleMaster on only a few planets. The cost and materials for the
    'Mech also limited production somewhat.

Capabilities:
    The new Battlemaster 100-X is the off shoot of the 99-X that was undergoing testing a while
    back. After collecting data from field tests and from the test pilots they decided to rework
    the entire mech. Most of the complaints came from the huge lack of heat dissipation and the
    over taxing of the targeting and tracking gear. The 99-X just tried to do to much and was
    seen in tests as a complete waste of resources. After reworking the chaise and the armor to
    be produced with standard structures again the designers realized they had much more room
    and less weight to work with. They removed the Jump jets, ER medium's and the Flamer and
    replaced that tonnage with Heat sinks. Though this does leave the back bare and no weapons
    firing out of the rear arch the designers decided it was a fair trade off. The hardest trade
    was the ERPPC. They decided that after careful study it would be in the pilots best interest
    to drop the PPC for a pair of ER LG lasers. Though they do produce more heat then the single
    PPC, they do allow for more flexibility in close. The paired Streak 4's were left alone. All
    of this is now hooked up to 18 double strength heat sinks. Though the BattleMaster still
    runs hot it now has more options and if the pilot rides the heat line can deliver incredible
    in close damage.

Deployment:
    Retesting of the new 100-X has started and so far the tests are going well. The designers
    are hoping that the next round of testing goes better than the last.
