Overview:
    There's not much money to be made by upgrading small production runs of mechs,
    
    but some people still do. Hudson Refit & Salvage has produced an upgrade
    
    package for the old Bombard support mech that will make it a bit more powerful
    
    and useful without costing too much.

Capabilities:
    The old AC/20 is dropped for a new RAC/5, increasing range and damage
    
    potential. The medium laser is also replace by an ER model. Anyone could have
    
    done that, though. The main improvements are in the electronics, as the
    
    Bombard now sports a C3 slave unit, a TAG and Guardian ECM. To this day there
    
    are few companies that can actually make such a pack work as an upgrade, but
    
    HR&S is one of them.
    
    
    
    The entire engine assembly in swapped to one with double heat sinks, making it
    
    possible to remove a few units. The weight savings go to improving the armor,
    
    as the modern battlefield is a dangerous place. Two AP pods are added for
    
    additional security, as infantry has gotten more powerful since the 3020's.
    
    
    
    One can still replace the LRM systems with SRMs if necessary. Either 3 SRM-6
    
    with 3 tons of ammo OR two SSRM-6 with 3 tons of ammo could fit. This makes
    
    the mech a nasty customer at close range, but it's abysmally slow compared to
    
    new mechs today.
