Variants:
    El Kabong is the personal Quickdraw of Butler McGraw, one of the last Gunslingers of the old
    Star League. Wanting a machine most would underestimate, or at least not be as familiar
    with, he picked the new Quickdraw. His machine had several modifications to the base design,
    with the LRM rack and it?s ammo replaced by a snub-nose PPC. An extra-light type 300 fusion
    core freed up enough mass to add a MASC system to improve its already good ground speed, as
    well as two more tons of armor. This last was further enhanced by the use of ferro-fibrous
    plate, and storing the SRM ammo in a CASE-lined bay.
    
    The final touch was the addition of an experimental hatchet in its right hand. As one of the
    first BattleMechs mounting a physical weapon, this came as a great surprise to many of his
    opponents.
    
    El Kabong was made even more distinctive by an overall white paint scheme, with the top of
    his head and a band at its waist being a deep red, the collar around its neck and some of
    the upper torso a bright blue, along with its weapons and its distinctive ankles, and its
    feet and hands a lustrous purple. It?s back was painted a shiny black.
    
    El Kabong was often accompanied by a much smaller BattleMech, most often a Javelin.
