    GZT wanted to create a long range mech that could stand back and pummel defences and enemies
    from afar. The 95 ton Siege is the first attempt.

    The Siege is intended to be a long range support platform. It utilizes arm mounted LRMs and
    a Gauss rifle for this purpose, with a Partical Cannon thrown in for good measure. Two
    medium lasers provide token short range protection, but as the mech is not intended for
    close in work, this was not deemed an issue. A single small laser covers the rear of the
    mech. Ground Zero includes several repair technicians with each design team in order to
    ensure the machine will be easy to maintain once in the field, and the Siege was no
    exception. The weapons and ammo feeds were placed in such a manner that they are readily
    accessible and do not interfere with the control mechanisms or electronics of the mech.

    Siege mechs are currently deployed with Stonkin Mechs Inc mercenary unit. Initial testing
    has been completed and the model is now available for resale.

    There is one variant on the drawing board at this time. The Gauss is replaced with an ARROW
    IV missle system. The lower and upper actuator are removed to accomodate the immense
    artillery piece.
