Should fighters be able to purchase more external ordinance slots at 1t per slot?
What if this includes the effect of -1 mp for 5 bombs?
What if it was limited to non-bomb ordinance?
10 bombs is 100 pts of damage for practically no BV cost. A lot fear aero because of it. But LAAMs and AAAMs cost 2 slots for 6 dmg and 5 slots for 20 dmg and they have a +4 to-hit versus ground targets.
Yes, its unrealistic to prevent bombs but it maintains balance.

It could use sprucing that is for sure. However, I'm also talking about the ability to use this on aerofighters.

I'm not sure if I get it. You want to push some limit on amount of bombs you can have, or are you suggesting bomb bay use?

What I am asking is not for a bomb bay which by the rules as written is BOMBS only, but a new item that allows you to mount more external hardpoints.
As they are expressly external hardpoints, you can use any munition type but may suffer the slow down effects of external munitions.
ie.
External Weapons Pylon
weight 2t
space 1
useable: AF, CF, SV(air)
game rules: This pylon allows the player to mount ONE external munition up to 2 slots in size (1 HE Bomb or 1 LAAM).
External Heavy Weapons Pylon
weight 6t
space 1
useable: AF, CF, SV(air)
game rules: This pylon allows the player to mount ONE external munition up to 6 slots in size (1 ASM or 1 AAAM) or TWO external munitions up to 2 slots in size (1 HE Bomb or 1 LAAM).

I understand the idea of drag on an airplane when things are mounted on the wings, BUT if it was a sever as BT makes it out to be in the game vs real life then I doubt we would ever see a fighter or anything have things hanging on the wings.
Really think this one area they need to rethink or adjust.
