I was working out how many "points" of internal structure are in a ton for the purposes of keeping track of spare parts for my unit, but I came across a problem.

Spare actuators need to be kept on hand in several sizes. But how much do they weigh? Any ideas on ways of hashing this out, or should I just come up with a general scale for actuator weight?

At least when you are constructing a mech, the weight of actuators is included in the weight of the structure ( as far as i remember ).

PS: I asume that the weight of actiuators is neglicable compared to the weight of the structore of a mech, so the designers didnt think about your special case.

Actually the actuator includes the sets of myomers that move whole joint (= on both sides) and and sub-centers that initiate movement and coordinate it.

The leg consists of skeleton to which the myomers armor and equipment are attached, upper leg actuator that flexes the leg around hip and lower leg actuator that flexes the leg around knee. These will consists majority of the leg's weight. Foot won't be that heavy IMO.

Leg internal structure takes something around 15% of the whole (I'm taking the values from 50t chassis, it changes with weight a little and I'm ignoring head internal structure, which is fixed, so I think it's included in 3 tons of cockpit) so a leg takes 750kg. The foot may take some 150Kg, 200kg for skeleton and each of the actuators?

On topic but off topic as well, if the joints are based off our own, would these be ball joints or something else?

The blueprints I have for the Omnis and Classic Mechs don't really show it all that well...
