Hey all! Tis I, Dragonblazer (as though half you guys remember me)! Just stopping in to say "Hello" to all my old friends here at the Bar and Grill and had a few questions.
1. What are the major changes WizKids has implimented to Battletech as far as you guys know (besides the actual gameplay system).
2. Does anyone know how many novels there will be before they wrap the current story lines? The novel I just finished ended with Omi dead, the civil war at a stand still and Victor a broken man. It's suck pretty hard to have things end that way...
3. Why are monkeys so damned evil? I continue to rid the universe of the Simian Menace, and yet they keep coming. Damned monkeys.
On a side note, I'm now a father. Ashton Riley Keish was born April 4th, 2002, and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Good talking to you guys and I hope my old friends will respond!

Its been a while since we fought the simien threat together huh? Whats up?
As to wizkids, who knows? I don't even follow the story line any more! LOL
Now about your child. its not spelled Riley. Thats WRONG. Its, in Anglo english, Reilly. O'Reilly if you want to be semicorrect, and the gailic i'll have to post later. But never Riley. Thats an evil basteridization. Is it obvious my last name is Reilly?

Congrats on the new baby! My wife and I just had a baby boy, Jonathan, 6 weeks ago. What a joy. Enjoy every moment as they change so quickly, and catch as many naps as you can, you'll need the strenght.

You talking events? Well...from what I hear, there is a Republic of the Sphere...but you can check their website out and find out more, and see some of the minis for the game too...the M1 Marksman tank looks to be sweet...

Two more novels...Operation Audacity due out next month and Endgame due out in like August or so...then we get a sourcebook to find out all the goings-on in the war, called the FedCom Civil War sourcebook...
And congrats on the kid!

Sorry about the spoiler there Vagabond! Doh!
(Spoilers Ahead) All I know is that Victor had better win in the end. Nothing ticks me off more than the bad guys getting there way. I will say that the amount of political manuevering at the Star League conference was so great that it made me giddy. Every single time one of Katherine's plans are spoiled, I fraggin' jump for joy. Man I hate that woman, fictional or not.
As for sleep, I'm working and Amber isn't, so I get enough sleep except on weekends when I help with the "duties". The little booger eater is only getting up once during the middle of the night anyways, so it ain't too bad.

Well you lucky bastard. I did the very same thing but my little one, be he ate 2-3 times every night. On some nights my wife was to tired to move so I had to go fetch him. I actually enjoyed going on the road for a day or two.... got some sleep. Enjoy em, 18 months has passed quickly
As for Btech, my stuff is stowed away until we get a new place that I can lock up a room full of my toys.

So, what happens after Endgame and the FedCom Civil War sourcebook? Does the Fanpro version end, leaving everything to WizKids, do they produce books for the new stuff, or does FanPro start a new storyline that's not connected at all, or what?

Meanwhile, while I'd LOVE for it to end with Vic and Kai both dead while Katherine sits on the throne, I know it won't happen. Sad. 
Katherine won't get to win, here, which is a crying shame. But Vic won't be running things, nor will he be in ComStar. I'm guesing that he retires, rather than die (sad!) ... but my ideal plotline's still possible.
There are just a couple things left that, I think, need to be done.
1) A new Davion put on the throne. Most likely Arthur, who gets the old Drac-hatin' view up.
2) Stiener being it's own House again.
3) Gost Bear and FRR finally going ahead and becoming the same thing.
4) The removal of the Kell Hounds and other UberMerc units. Especially...
5) Wolf's Dragoons. Got a seperate post on how I'd do this in just a sec.
6) DEATH! Death to Vic, Kai, and everyone else who should be dead, in terms of age and whatnot, but still lingers like some horrid Dritz-like spectre over everything. Cack already!
7) Establishment of Skye
 More Davion losses to Capella, but balance this with losses to Marik. Speaking of which.
9) For goodness sakes, do *something* with Marik. I forget they exist, half the time, and aside from 'House Marik', I honestly cannot think of what to call their space. House LIao is the Capellan Confederation, House Steiner are the Lyrans, but Marik? Gah!
10) Did I mention House Marik? DO SOMETHING!
Anyway, just my opinions and such.

Last I heard, FanPro was going to continue releasing sourcebooks that would continue the storyline until they merge (together with the computer games, this would tie the two together) ...nothing is concrete yet though, to my understanding...
But next year looks like we will have alot of cool stuff coming out...

Well...considering that the FedSuns is its own house (confirmed by Stackpole's mini story), and it has been stated that all the present factions will be present in one form or another, and the fact that the pic of the new Atlas mini had a Steiner fist, I'd say this is a good bet
It better be anyways...or Randall and I'll have words...
