It's mostly just for fun and RP'ing here at the B&G.
However when the new stable version of MegaMek comes out I wouldn't mind playing with the unit. Speaking of which it's almost here! Release Canidate 3 is on the table and RC4 is in the works. All the RCs are just bugfixes, no new features so they can get a new stable out. It will have artillery, buildings, and more. Lotsa stuff thats not in current stable version. After this I'm gonna bug them to implement a GM Control panel that will allow anyone who knows the server password to do things like set damage and used ammo on mechs (damage on pilots), starting heat, and such. They also need to implement hidden units heh. But anyways.... yeah if we can arrange it after I get broadband again and we can get a lot of people to work on a date and time we'll play. We'd need a few someones to play the other side though.

SSSHHH  It's a prototype for field testing
TRO: 3060 is the one I'm missing. So I don't know the exact date of the Hauptmann's release. Just cause it's a TRO 3060 mech don't mean it wasn't available in 3059. But I might change it anyways, it was chosen with a random generator so I'm not adverse to changing it, though I do like it hehe. Anyways, lets have fun

Well, my schedule's pretty open now. Much reduced work load and the benefits of seniority, you all know how it works. My right hand has seen better days, but it still works.
I think I can be in on this. I'm up for the usual: fire support in my Whitworth (or the Whitworth II, but that's not a requirement) or recon in a Raven. I'm not too particular on mechs right now. My usual tactic to to shoot and run (maybe we could bring the Brave Sir Robin off the drawing boards...)
One question: how do I need to draw up a PC? I only have the 1st edition of Mechwarrior and I don't actually have it with me (we're not playing Mechwarrior this year, I finally sucumbed to DND).

Well.... You can have a fire support, but they're already filled out in the roster as a single lance with a few mixed into other lances that are multi-taskers (like the Dervish...). Anyways as for PC Generation its your char here, but if you want a different name on the mech like some have just tell me. I'm gonna generate everyones characters into BURPS when I finish it. Having problems making an equation to convert weapons right now. I'll work it out though, and if stuff just comes out close to similiar weapons in GURPS I'll be happy
