oh and the 1.1 patch for diablo2 was supposed to redo the whole ladder system and add a new character type?,like hardcore and normal they were gonna add a new one. But that was before wc3(which is pretty looking but to me is a crappy game with no replay value) wich has put d2 on the backburner and stopped me from playing it or any other blizzard game.

Mordel and I have been playing D2 online just recently, both individually and as a party.

There are a couple small things I'd change, but I don't see any major problems with the game...

Stupid is as stupid does

But seriously, you lost a duel and your stuff and that's the reason you dislike the game? Not sure I agree with that line of thinking...

BTW, as far as I know in D2 when you die you lose any gold you're carrying and nothing else...so exactly how did you lose that stuff?

i can answer that because its another reason i stoped playing that game ....hacks
trade hacks, dupe hacks,pk hacks..the one hes talking about is either trading with someone and having them put up a ghost image of a good item(they get your item and you get nothing)or something similar that makes u drop all your "equipped" inventory and gold.

As soon as Blizzard finds the hacks they remove them and the accounts using them.

Read his post again, what he claims isn't possible. And if you play D2 online you know why

I never would have pegged you as a MI fan, Vampire. Though I definately agree. My roommate played Curse of... so often that he had almost everyone in the room quoting the introductory dialouge with Murray. But it's been so long that I can't remember any of it now. But I do remeber the best line in the fourth one.

"It is now time for the ultimate in Monkey KOMBAT!!!!" I love that scene.

Odd I saw Mech 2 but no mech 3 or Mechcommander. And thank god there is no Mech 4 (worst in the series IMO) I didnt mind diablo but it just has no replay value. That and seeing my friend get killed by someone 30 Lvls higher then him after he said "I dont want to duel" (the guy waited for him to leave the town and then he hit duel and ran out and killed him) really turned me off.

But for me its unfortunately EQ. Ther is just to much to do in that F***ING game.

Feh, the original Mechwarrior game should be on that list rather than to 2, 3, or 4. Though I think the original MPBT on GEnie beats it.

Well it was really a toss up between sd and mw2, but I had to go with starcraft. Ever since that game was introduced to be I have been hooked on it. I still like MW2 beacuse there was so much more you could do with it compared to lets say 4. 4 was stupid and the expansion was also crap. Oh well that was my 2 cents anyway

The Steel Panthers Series (1-3 and the addons that have come out over the last couple of years like SPWW2 and SPMBT)

Age of Rifles is also a runner up...

Killing stuff and grabbing loot are the basics of just about every game in existence, except a few oddballs and sports games. Even RPG's get really dull for the same reason. In Final Fantasy 7 I spent the majority of the time just killing stuff to gain experience or money.

The Daiblo series is pretty good IMO.

Although Doom is better. I have yet to meet an enemy in any game that is nearly as fun and intense as the Cyberdemon.
