Though at this point in time it is really not necessary to ally. Just get some infantry and start building your infastructure.

About how long does it take to go up a level? Or, better yet, what the requirements for Levels 1 and 2? I'd like to know where I stand in the timeline of growth.

Eh, I just want to rule the entire planet. Note that I'm saying this while wedged between three or four larger empires, and I only control 2 zones meself. It's only a matter of time...

At least three probably. Most of the "major" Houses/Clans are represented in bundles of Empires. And then there are Pseudo-Clans and Pseudo-Houses and then they're people running small duchies and companies and pirate bands, etc.

Do you mind if I ask for an alliance with you? I just started my own empire and called it Serria Nevada (well I cannot think of any else -_- ) I want to try the ecomony first then expand into the military later on.

Sure, diplomatic relations only for now. Trade Alliance costs a bundle and neiter one of us has factories to produce stuff to sell.
