Ok, now this isn't liking me: I have my first building housing 100 civilians. I also have 112 infantry (111 soldiers and me) forming one lance. Their rifles are on the way right now, and so I was going to build a building.
Civilian Builders: 0
Military Builders: 112
someone please explain...I should have at least 25 civilian builders, right?

oh and BTW I just bought Earth and Beyond but havn't started playing yet.

hmmm.... well thats interesting.
actually, you start with 112 rifles in your warhouse. so my suggestion build 1 residential cf25 lvl4 base, and buy another 112 men to go with the 112 rifles you bought. pretty much keep doing that untill you reach bout 1 mil left in cash.

when you do..... i'm on Orion, playing a tradesmen... named Buurk.
i could use help... maybe another tradesmen, an explorer, or a warrior guard. note: i spend most ofg my time runnin about trading and exploring.... so a warrior is likly not to see heavy action.

You have to form them up into platoons first and have them in the same zone as the buildings.

Don't build you military up to much to start, a company of infantry should be enough. If you get too many you will be short on cash and your expenses will be high.
