I've beaten the story arc, and gone into the Tactics Battle stage where you can pilot different types of Federation or Zeon suits in 3 mission types...I haven't done the Zeon section yet, but I've managed to acquire the use of all the Federation Mobile Suits that they made available...the Gundam, Guncannon (slow as molasses), Guntank (more mobile than you'd think, but still nothing compared to the Gundam), GM (surprisingly enough, I like this suit more than the Gundam itself), GM Sniper II (oh...GM with a BFG...gotta love it), Gundam (G) type (the knock down from the 180mm cannon is nice, but you'd think it could kill the enemy faster...still take either GM over it), the GM Blue Destiny 1 (ooo...I'm in love...rapid fire gun, missile special attack, and solid blue), and the Gundam NT-1 Alex (I like almost as much as the Blue Destiny...Beam Rifle, 90mm gatling cannon special attack...and parts are still blue!)...
For most of the suits, you just have to complete the missions well enough to gain them...for the Sniper II and the Gundam (G), you have animation clips featuring Shiro Amada (for the Gundam (G)) and a couple of the White Dingo platoon members (for the Sniper II)...but to get the Blue Destiny and the Alex, you actually have to fight and beat those suits before you can gain their use...and of course, you get animated clips introducing them into your lineup...
I'm going to try and finish off the Zeon side before I get Gundam: Zeonic Front off layaway in a couple weeks...I think you can get the Kampher as one of the suits (in addition to the Zaku II, the Dom, the Gouf, etc.) and maybe even some of the other suits as well...I'm hoping they'll have the Gyan and the Gelgoog in there...

Cool, dude. I am glad you like it. I couldnt really get into it...the controls just didnt feel right to me. That...and some of the missions I just plain hated. By rule of thumb I despise anything pertaining to escort, or defend. So i really didnt jump into it so much.
Maybe some time down the road if ot comes down in price, I will look toward it.
The Robotech game looks to be more my style...fast and furious.

Ya, that gundam game is cool. But it's hard to get into if you can't figure out or get use to the controls.
Tried the other gundam games? Zeonic Front and i think another. I haven't gotten the chance to yet.

I've got Zeonic Front on Layaway...
As for other Gundam games, as far as I know, those are the only two domestic games for the PS2, then you also have Gundam Battle Assault and Battle Assault II (IIRC) for the PS1, Gundam Side Story 0079 for the Dreamcast and maybe a couple others here in America...now, as for straight Japanese ones...there are TONS...

well, i think there's suppose to be a new one that continues the story of where the 1st one left off. I dunno if it's out yet though. And i think maybe i'll go rent zeonic front this weekend

I looked in a book I have on Gundam written by Mark Simmons (the US's Gundam guru) for Animerica...it's listed as Federation vs. Zeon (IIRC) and is scheduled for sometime this year...

I will be before to long. aside from the there is a MMRPG Gundam Game coming out sometime next year.
As for Zeonic Front, I hated the controls. Journey to Jaburo is fun once you've beaten the main game.

The PS2 goes online in a week. The modem/ethernet adaprter comes out on the 25th of August.
As for the Fed Zeon War...i might be confusing it with the online MMORPG. I ahve to look into it.

Fed V Zeon is PS2 I should've been clear on the fact that I have no clue when or IF the MMORPG will come out or what it's name will be.
