Let's just say that this is the same kid who once wanted to turn a mech into a walking flamer battery becuase he thought that they were more powerful than they really were.

Just heard this one from a sub today.
She was DMing this one group that was wandering through this *thick, dry, overgrown* forest when the party was attacked by a band of goblins. Guess what the mage cast?
Burning hands.
When a forest giant came to investigate the cause of the fire, the party just handed over the mage and left.

Depending on if you're playing level 1 or not and the skill of the pilot, a mech with a bunch of flamers is a major threat.

No, he was familiar with level 2. I was the guy who essentially got him interested, and that was what I really learned on.

I believe, The damage doesn't stack, but the length of time does.
In another words (I forget numbers) if I hit you with one inferno, it does 6 heat for 3 rounds 2 infernos do 6 heat for 6 rounds.. don't flamers work the same way?

Nope, there is no max.
Presuming you're playing the rule that flamers do 2 heat instead of 2 damage, you take 2 heat per flamer that hits you with no max mentioned in the rules.
One would presume that if there were a max it would be mentioned just as it's mentioned for infernos.

Either way, it was just going to be almred entirely with flamers- even the Firestarter had a few lasers.

2) Fire the flamers for damage.
3) Repeat as nessessary

I will be darned. chihawk is right.
I could have sworn Pinhead was. But the rules does indeed not have a limit to the heat scale caused buy a flamer (BMR, pg 127)
This the older rulebook. (the 1707 one)

1) Obviously the tactic works better in a lance.
2) Unless you totally submerge your mech you'll be dead very quickly from all the shots to the head you'll be taking, and if you do totally submerge you're effectively out of the battle anyway.
3) A full one I hope
